17 July 2012 – Armed Robbery – Take Away – Mount Pleasant

A 38-year-old local woman received minor injuries following an armed robbery at Mount Pleasant yesterday afternoon.
A man armed with an unknown weapon entered a Tolcher Street takeaway business around 3.45pm and demanded cash from a female employee. The woman refused and a brief struggle ensued during which time the woman sustained minor cut injuries to her arm.
The man fled the scene on foot with a sum of money.
He is described as Caucasian, in his late teens or early 20s, approximately 170cms tall with brown hair. He was wearing a black hooded jumper and tracksuit pants with a stripe on the side.
