A man will appear in court today charged over the alleged robbery of a supermarket in Sydney’s west.

Just after 3pm yesterday (Wednesday 18 July 2012), a man entered the supermarket on Rochester Street, Homebush, and allegedly threatened staff.
It’s alleged he stole cash from the register before fleeing.
Police were alerted and officers from Flemington and Burwood Local Area Commands, along with the Dog Unit, attended and conducted a canvass of the area.
Two men – aged 40 and 39 – and a 45-year-old woman were arrested at a nearby house and taken to Auburn Police Station where they were interviewed by detectives.

The 39-year-old man was subsequently charged with steal from person and was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court today (Thursday 19 July 2012).

The two others were released without charge pending further inquiries.
