Three people have been arrested following an alleged robbery in Sydney’s west.

Just after 3pm today (Wednesday 18 July 2012), a man entered a supermarket on Rochester Street, Homebush, and allegedly threatened staff.

The man took money from the register before fleeing to a nearby house.

Police were alerted and officers from Flemington and Burwood Local Area Commands, along with the Dog Unit, attended and conducted a canvass of the area.

Two men and a woman were arrested at the house and have been taken to Auburn Police Station where they continue to assist with inquiries.

A crime scene has been established at the supermarket and will be examined by the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit (FARU).

Members of the public are advised to avoid the area while investigators remain at the scene.
