A 34-year-old Curtin man will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday (July 27) to be charged with 20 counts of theft and one count of false accounting in relation to his management of a company trust fund.

Police will allege the man misappropriated a total of $42,876.

The company first became aware that funds were missing from the account in February 2009.

A search warrant executed by police on a Curtin residence in May resulted in a number of items being seized in evidence including computer equipment, three press-seal bags containing traces of a white powder suspected to be cocaine, and an expandable baton.

As a result, the alleged offender will also be charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of a drug of dependence.
