Detectives from Liverpool Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding an alleged robbery at a hotel in Warwick Farm this morning.

Just before 7.20am (Sunday 5 May 2011), police were called to a hotel on Homepride Avenue, Warwick Farm, after two men with handguns approached a female staff member.

The men allegedly forced the woman to open a safe.

At this time, a male staff member arrived. It’s alleged that the two offenders forced him to lay on the ground, where they restrained his feet and hands with duct tape.

Soon after, the alleged offenders left the hotel with an amount of cash.

A crime scene was established and examined by attending police.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident and no shots were fired.

Police now wish to speak to two men who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The second man is described as being 170 to 180cm tall and with a skinny build. He was wearing a fluorescent orange fleecy jumper with a fluorescent orange vest over the top, khaki army pants, light brown boots, black woollen gloves and a black balaclava.
