An arrest of woman overnight and subsequent inquiries has resulted in nine charges being laid against two people over various break-and-enter offences in Sydney’s west.
About 10pm last night (Saturday 4 June), police from the Campbelltown Commuter Crime Unit arrested a 19-year-old Auburn woman at Liverpool Railway Station in relation an outstanding warrant.
A fingerprint check revealed that the woman could assist with inquiries into a number of break-and-enter offences.
Soon after, the woman’s 20-year-old boyfriend attended Liverpool Station, at which time it was found he was also able to assist with the same inquiries.
About 3.15am today (5 June), police executed a search warrant at a residence in Kihilla Road, Auburn, where they seized property suspected of being stolen, including jewellery and a computer-game console.
Liverpool detectives subsequently charged the man with three counts of aggravated break and enter with intent in company.
These charges relate to alleged break-ins at the office of a homeless shelter in Dundas Valley on 2 February 2011, and units in Auburn on 5/6 May and 11/12 May.
The man was also charged with intend to commit serious indictable offence in relation to an alleged attempted break-in at an acquired brain injury services centre on 25 May.
Two other charges have been laid against the man: goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen and receive property/theft.
The woman, meanwhile, was charged with two counts of aggravated break and enter with intent in company, in relation to the incidents on 11/12 May and 25 May. She was also charged in relation to the outstanding warrant.
Both were refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court today (5 June).
