Police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store at Camp Hill last night.

Around 9.15pm, two men entered the Old Cleveland Road and approached the male store employee at the counter.

One of the men waved a tennis racquet in an aggressive manner whilst making demands for money.

The shop assistant complied and the men fled the scene on foot with a sum of cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

Both men had their faces covered at the time of the offence.

Investigations are continuing.
