Detectives investigating an armed robbery in Sydney’s west last month have released CCTV images of a man with whom they would like to speak in relation to the incident.

About 7.15pm on Wednesday 8 August 2012, a 19-year-old man was leaving Kingswood Railway Station when he noticed he was being followed by two men.

They continued to follow the 19-year-old as he walked towards the intersection of Rodgers Street and Bringelly Road, Kingswood.

Police have been told one of the men then struck the 19-year-old with a small metal pole and a beer bottle, as well as punching and kicking him. He also demanded the victim’s wallet.

Both men then left the area with the victim’s wallet and mobile phone. They were last seen running along Bringelly Road.

The victim was taken to Nepean Hospital where he was treated for cuts to his head.

Detectives from St Marys Local Area Command are investigating the incident and are seeking public assistance.
They have today (Sunday 2 September 2012) released CCTV images of a man with whom they would like to speak about this matter.

He is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 165cm tall and with a large build. The man is shown wearing a grey hooded jumper.

Police would also like to speak with a second man in relation to this incident. He is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance and with a thin build.
