12 September 2012 – Update – Arrest – Armed Robbery – Business – Scotts Head

Police have arrested and charged a man following an investigation into the armed robbery of a business on the Mid North Coast in December 2008.
About 2.45pm, Friday 5 December 2008 a man armed with a firearm entered a business on Ocean Street, Scotts Head.
He threatened the female employee and demanded cash.
It is alleged the man took an amount of cash from the employee before fleeing the business.
Yesterday (Tuesday 11 September 2012) Police from Mid North Coast Local Area Command acting on information they received arrested a 49-year-old man at a premises on Vista Way, Scotts Head.
He was taken to Kempsey Police Station where he was interviewed and later charged with armed robbery.
The man was refused bail to appear at Kempsey Local Court today (Wednesday 12 September 2012).
