Police are appealing for public assistance following an attempted armed robbery at a supermarket in Cecil Hills overnight.
About 9.15pm (Thursday 27 September 2012), a man armed with a knife entered the business on Lancaster Avenue.
The man threatened the 17-year-old male employee at the cigarette counter and demanded cash.
The employee activated the fire alarm and the man ran from the premises.
No property was taken and no-one was injured.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 183cm tall wit a slim. He was wearing a light coloured hooded top, dark pants and a balaclava.
