Police have released CCTV images and are appealing for information following an armed robbery of a service station at Horsley Park.

About 2.40am on Friday 21 September 2012, a 26-year-old man was working in the business on The Horsley Drive when two males entered, one armed with a gun.

The employee was struck to the face and ordered to hand over money.

He complied before the men fled on foot. They were last seen heading west toward the M7.

Police were alerted and a crime scene was established.

Officers attached to Fairfield Local Area Command and the Dog Unit canvassed the surrounding area, but the offenders were not located.

The shop attendant was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital. He was later released suffering bruising and concussion.

Police have released images of two men who they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.

The first man is depicted wearing a black hooded jacket featuring a white motif and text.

The second man is depicted wearing a black jumper with white writing.
