Police are investigating after the armed robbery of a Frenchville newsagency early this morning.
At around 5am a man entered the Dean Street store with a firearm and confronted the female employee, demanding cash.
The woman complied and the man fled on foot with a sum of money.
He was last seen running along Dean Street towards Vallance Street.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
