Two men have been arrested and charged following an armed robbery near a Sydney casino last weekend.

About 3:30am, Saturday 6 October 2012, three men were leaving a casino in Pyrmont when they were approached by two men and allegedly threatened with a firearm.

The trio were forced to get into their car and drive away from the casino where they were robbed of their mobile phones and cash. The armed men then fled the scene on foot.

Police from City Central Local Area Command were notified about the robbery and commenced investigations into the incident.

About 5:30am yesterday (Wednesday 10 October 2012) police attended the casino where they arrested two 22-year-old men.

They were taken to City Central Police Station and charged with three counts each of robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon.

One of the men was refused bail to appear in Central Local Court today while the other man has been refused bail to appear in Central Local Court on Thursday 13 December 2012.

Detectives also conducted two search warrants at homes in Bossley Park seizing a number of items related to the investigation.
