Detectives from the Port Stephens Local Area Command are seeking assistance from the community to identify two offenders responsible for an armed robbery at a business on Ferodale Road, Medowie.

The robbery occurred shortly after 1.30pm on Tuesday 9 October 2012.  The two offenders wore balaclavas during the offence and threatened the shop attendant with a screwdriver before removing a small quantity of cash from a cash draw.  They fled into bushland adjacent to Boyd Oval and exited onto Grey Gum Street.

Police are interested in speaking with any people who may have witnessed these offenders or persons or vehicles they considered suspicious around the time of the offence (1.30pm).  In particular, people who were in Grey Gum Circuit, Brush Box Ave or Tea Tree Drive.

The offenders are described as being young, possibly teenagers with small to medium builds.  The offenders may have changed or removed clothing shortly following the offence and been in possession of a bag or back pack.
