Police from the Surry Hills Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding an armed robbery in Darlinghurst last night.Just after 10pm (Tuesday 9 October, 2012) two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, entered a hotel on Oxford Street.Once inside the two men, who had their faces covered, threatened a staff member and demanded money. The men then left with an amount of cash. No one was injured during the robbery. A crime scene was established at the location and detectives from Surry Hills are continuing their inquiries. One of the men is described as being about 173cm tall, with tanned skin, a thin build, and was wearing a dark coloured hooded jumper and dark pants at the time.
