Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred overnight at a hotel in Buddina.

Initial information suggests that at around 10.20pm, three men have entered the Point Cartwright Drive business armed with knives and a firearm.

One of the men has jumped the counter and threatened a female staff member with the firearm and demanded money.

The attendant has complied and the three men have left the hotel with a sum of cash.

They were last seen running south towards a motel.

The attendant and patrons of the hotel were not physically injured as a result of the robbery.

Police investigations into the incident are continuing.
