Police are investigating after the armed robbery of supermarket at Carseldine this evening.

Around 6.30pm a man entered the Graham Road store and threatened the attendant with a weapon.

The attendant gave the man a sum of cash, before running out of the shop and locking the automatic doors in an attempt to trap the offender.

The offender broke the glass in the front door and ran off along Graham Road.

The man is described as around 178cm tall, and of a solid build. He was wearing a black balaclava.

Investigations are continuing.
