Police have released an image of a man they believe may have witnessed events leading up to, and possibly including, the alleged shooting of Senior Constable Damian Leeding at the Pacific Pines Tavern on Sunday May 29.

The man was seen in the vicinity of a public phone situated on the western side of the Pacific Pines Shopping Centre near a Greater Credit Union ATM around 10.30pm.

Police wish to stress that this man is a witness and not believed to be in any way involved in the incident.

Police would like the man to come forward as he may have information which could assist the investigation.

The man or anyone knowing his identity is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
