Police are searching for three males who robbed a taxi driver at knifepoint last evening at Boondall.

Around 11.30pm the male driver attended Aberdeen Parade in relation to a fare.

When the driver pulled up in his empty cab a man armed with a knife approached the driver’s side window and demanded cash.

A second man entered through the front passenger seat and stole money from the centre console.

The pair then fled with a third male who was nearby. All three were last seen running west along Aberdeen Parade.

The 27-year-old driver was not injured.

The males are described as wearing dark clothing and having their faces covered.

Police investigations are continuing.
