Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a Runcorn newsagency early Monday morning.
Around 1.30am three men entered the Warrigal Road store, one of which was armed with a bottle.
The trio threatened the male employees and demanded money before fleeing empty handed.
The men are described as around 175cm tall with a slight build. All three men were wearing a hooded jumper, one was blue and black and another red and black.
Investigations are continuing.
