Police have located the vehicle stolen during an armed robbery in which a 43-year-old man was shot at Nobby on June 12.

The vehicle was located about 10am yesterday on Ted Mengle Road at Nobby.

On Saturday afternoon a man was standing inside a convenience store in Tooth Street around 3.45pm when an unknown man entered, confronting the victim before stealing his car keys and discharging a firearm once.

The victim is still recovering in Toowoomba Base Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. His condition is considered to be stable.

A teenager male shop assistant was uninjured during the incident.

The man is described as aged between 35 and 45 years, approximately 180cms tall with a tanned complexion and brown hair.  He was wearing a motorcycle helmet, balaclava and dark clothes.
 
Anyone who may sight the vehicle is urged to immediately contact police on Triple Zero (000) and not to approach the car or the driver.
