South Coast police have made four arrests after a sports store at Reynella was broken into overnight.

At about midnight, police were called to a sports store on Sherriffs Road after thieves had smashed the front window with a brick.

Once inside they stole a quantity of sports clothing including jackets and jumpers.  Police patrols conducted a search of the area and found some of the stolen clothing at the Reynella Shopping Centre.

Shortly after, a nearby Police Security patrol checking the John Morphett Primary School spotted four men running across the oval.

They were all stopped a short distance away still in possession of allegedly stolen sports clothing.  Four males aged, 17,18,19 and 20 years, all from Morphett Vale, were arrested and charged with breaking into the shop and theft.

Two of the males have been released on bail and two have been remanded in custody.  All will appear in the Christies beach Court at a later date and all the stolen clothing was recovered.
