A 19-year-old man from Elizabeth Park will appear in court today after he was arrested and charged with kidnapping, aggravated cause harm, aggravated robbery, blackmail and breach of bail.
Just after 6pm on Monday 13 June a 21-year-old man from West Croydon was abducted from an address in Queenstown and taken to an unknown address in Pooraka.
The victim was held for several hours during which he was stabbed a number of times in the arm.
He was released just after midnight on Tuesday 14 June on condition he return with money.
The victim reported the incident to police and the suspect was arrested overnight.
This is not a random attack as the victim and suspect are known to each other and it is believed the incident is in relation to a debt owed.
The victims injuries are not life threatening.
