Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Pottsville this afternoon.
About 4pm today (17 June), two men, one armed with a shotgun, entered a bank on Berkley Lane, Pottsville, and threatened employees.
The men demanded money from the cash drawer, which was handed to the offenders who then fled on foot.
Police from Tweed-Byron Local Area Command attended the scene and conducted inquiries.
Local detectives are now seeking public assistance to identify and locate two men they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.
The first man is described as being about 35-40 years old, 175-180cm tall with a thin build. He was wearing a dark coloured long-sleeved shirt, dark coloured pants, gloves and a mask.
The second man is described as being about 35 years old, 180cm tall with a thin build. He had dark coloured shoulder-length hair and was wearing dark coloured clothing, gloves and a mask.
Both men were last seen running into bushland at the rear of the bank.
