A man has been arrested after a glassing attack left another man with cuts to his neck in Sydney’s north-west last night (Saturday 2 July).
A 49-year-old man was outside a hotel on West Parade, West Ryde, about 6.45pm when he was approached a younger man and two others.
Police were told an argument began and the younger man removed a wine glass and cooler he was wearing around his neck and allegedly smashed it against the older man’s neck.
The 49-year-old man suffered a number of cuts to his neck and was treated by paramedics at the scene.
The younger man was detained by witnesses until police arrived and placed him under arrest.
A 27-year-old North Rocks man was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and granted conditional bail to face Ryde Local Court on 20 July.
