Southern Metro Crime Team investigators have charged a third youth in relation to an alleged armed robbery at a Canterbury jewellery store last month.
Investigators have been told four men armed with machetes and sledgehammers allegedly broke into the jewellery store at 1.30pm on 11 January.
Detectives arrested a 16-year-old boy at his Cranbourne East home this morning.
He has been charged with one count of armed robbery and has been remanded to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
A 17-year-old Dandenong South boy and an 18-year-old Epping man have already faced court charged with armed robbery offences.
