Police are investigating following the armed robbery of an adult store at Chermside last night.

Around 9.20pm a man wearing a stocking over his head entered the business on Gympie Road and produced a knife, demanding cash from a male employee.

The employee complied and the man, described as being tall, left with a sum of cash.

It is believed he then fled the scene in a car driven by another person, a stolen 1989 silver Mazda 626 sedan with QLD registration 005 EJN (similar to pictured).

Anyone who may have seen the vehicle is urged to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers.

No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
