July 19, 2011 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Slacks Creek

Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a convenience store at Slacks Creek yesterday.
Initial investigations indicate a man entered the Duke Street store carrying a machete around 12.30pm
The female attendant ran to the rear of the store and a male employee challenged the man and an altercation occurred between the two men in which the offender dropped the machete and ran from the store empty handed.
The man is described as around 185cm tall with a medium build.
He was wearing a yellow hooded jumper and dark pants.
Investigations are continuing.
