Brimbank Embona detectives have charged a man with armed robbery after separate incidents in Footscray and Sunshine yesterday.

Police arrested a man after a report of an alleged attempted armed robbery outside a hotel in Sunshine at about 2pm. The man is alleged to have committed a subsequent armed robbery around the corner in Glengala Road.

Police believe the man was also involved in an earlier armed robbery in Gordon Street, Footscray.

Travis Marsh, 18-years-old from Footscray, was charged with two counts of armed robbery and attempted armed robbery.

He was remanded in custody overnight and will appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
