Police from Deniliquin Local Area Command are appealing for information from the public following an alleged robbery at a travel agency in Deniliquin today.
About 7am (Friday 29 July 2011), a man entered the business on Cressy Street, Deniliquin, and approached a 17-year-old female employee.
The man allegedly demanded money and pushed the employee behind the counter.
The employee opened the till. The man allegedly took an amount of cash and fled the business. He was last seen running towards Wearing Gardens, Deniliquin.
No-one was injured during the robbery.
Police from Deniliquin Local Area Command attended immediately and established a crime scene.
They now wish to speak with a man who may be able to help with the inquiries.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 180 to 190cm tall, with a solid build and ginger stubble on his face. The man had a lisp or speech impediment.
At the time of the incident, the man was wearing black tracksuit pants, a grey jacket, grey and red running shoes, and a black beanie.
