Police from Mt Druitt have arrested and charged three teenagers following an alleged attempted bag snatch last night.
Police were told a 62-year-old woman was walking through a hotel car park near North Parade, Mt Druitt, about 6.15pm, when a teenage boy allegedly tried to steal her handbag.
The victim told police she called for help while struggling with the youth on the ground, before he ran from the scene.
A witness provided information to police and three teenagers were arrested a short time later and taken to Mt Druitt Police Station.
A 16-year-old boy from Whalan and two boys, aged 16 and 14 from Plumpton, have each been charged with attempted robbery in company.
They were refused bail overnight and were due to appear in Parramatta Children’s Court later today.
The woman suffered bruising and soreness as a result of the incident.
