Two 15-year-old boys have been charged following the investigation into the alleged armed robbery of a taxi driver at Ormiston early Thursday morning.

Just before 5am on August 11, the driver was transporting three boys and a girl to the intersection of Sturgeon and Wellington Streets when it is alleged one of the boys threatened the driver with a knife.

It is alleged a sum of money and property was stolen.  The driver was not injured during the incident.

The two boys will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.

Police investigations are continuing.
