Police have thanked the public for their assistance following the arrest of a man in relation to an alleged armed robbery on the Lower North Shore this week.
Just after 2am on Tuesday 23 August 2011, a man entered a Miller Street convenience store in North Sydney and allegedly threatened the male attendant with a knife before escaping with a sum of cash.
Police began investigating the incident and also appealed for information through the media.
As a result of information from a member of the public, officers arrested a 28-year-old man at North Sydney yesterday.
He was taken to North Sydney Police Station and charged with robbery whilst armed with an offensive weapon.
The North Sydney man was granted conditional bail to face North Sydney Local Court on 20 September 2011.
