Organised Crime Investigation Branch, Operation Counteract have arrested a 21-year-old man of no fixed address in relation to two aggravated robberies.

The robberies were committed on 19 and 22 August at the Albion Hotel, Churchill Road Kilburn and the Old Spot Hotel, Main North Road, Salisbury Heights.

Police arrested the man for an unrelated matter last night at a Parafield Gardens address. 

Detectives interviewed the man this morning and he was further charged with the robberies. 

The man will appear before the Holden Hill Magistrates Court this afternoon. 

Investigations in to both robberies are on-going and police believe two other people were involved. 

Detective Superintendent Peter Harvey, Officer in Charge Organised Crime Investigation Branch said “Our investigation into these two armed robberies and the prompt arrest of one of the major suspects is very pleasing. 

It should serve as a warning to others involved that we are committed to bringing them to justice”.
