Police have charged two men following the alleged robbery of a woman in south-western Sydney yesterday.
The 33-year-old woman was allegedly approached by two men after she returned to her car in the car park of a shopping centre on Park Street, Cabramatta, about 4.30pm (Sunday 11 September 2011).
The men allegedly threatened the woman with a knife and demanded she hand over money, before fleeing with her purse containing cash.
The woman had her three young children with her at the time however no one was injured during the robbery.
Police were notified and officers from Cabramatta Local Area Command attended and canvassed the area.
Following inquiries, two men- aged 39 and 33- were arrested at a home in Woodville Road, Villawood, about 11.30pm (Sunday 11 September).
Both were taken to Cabramatta Police Station where they were subsequently charged with robbery in company.
They were refused bail to appear in Liverpool Local Court today (Monday 12 September 2011).
