Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery in Sydney’s west last night.

 About 10.40pm (Tuesday 13 September 2011), a man forced his way into a video store on Zoe Place, Mt Druitt, and threatened the 31-year-old female employee with a knife, demanding cash.

 The man stole a sum of money and ran from the store.

 He is described only as covering his face with a cream coloured jacket during the robbery.

 The woman was not injured during the incident.

 Police from Mt Druitt Local Area Command and specialist forensic officers attended the scene and conducted inquires.

 Investigators believe the offender may have fled in a vehicle parked nearby.
