Police are appealing for public assistance following the armed robbery of a chemist in Chester Hill last night.

About 7.30pm (Saturday 24 September 2011), a 23-year-old woman working at a chemist on Waldron Road was approached by a man.

The man demanded money from the woman who believed the man was in possession of a firearm.

After obtaining an amount of cash, the man ran from the store.

Police were notified and officers from Bankstown Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

Police wish to speak to a man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries into the incident.

The man is described as being about 175cm tall, with an athletic build, pale skin, light coloured eyes and brown hair. The man is believed to be aged in his 20s and at the time he was wearing a black hooded jumper.
