Police are investigating two separate incidents which occurred in the western suburbs last night.

The first is an armed robbery on a business premises in Geelong Road, Kingsville where a firearm was produced and property stolen.

Two men are said to have entered the store around 7.45pm, with one of them armed with what is believed to be a long arm.

The pair fled on foot carrying a number of items and are yet to be located.

The second incident police are investigating relates to a man suffering what is believed to be a gun shot wound and some damage done to a vehicle in Kingsville Street around 8pm.

At this stage, the exact circumstances surrounding this incident are unknown but the man has been taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital for treatment to non life-threatening injuries.
