Police are investigating the armed robbery of a petrol station at Yeppoon earlier tonight.

Around 7pm, two men entered the Yeppoon – Rockhampton Road business producing a firearm and demanding money.

The female attendant handed over a sum of money before the men fled the store.

They were last seen driving away in a Volvo sedan toward Rockhampton.

One man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, with a slim build and was wearing a blue and white long-sleeved flannelette shirt, blue denim pants and black shoes.

The second man is described as Cauciasan in appearance, proportionate to solid build and was wearing black pants with a vertical white stripe down the leg and a black jacket with white triangular and oval shapes on the sleeves and shoulder.
