Police are currently investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred overnight at a convenience store in Hillcrest.
Initial information suggests that at around 8.00pm, an attendant was closing the Sweetgum Street business when he was approached by two unknown males.
It appeared that one of the men who approached the door was holding a knife, but neither man gained access to the store.
The men have then fled into parkland on Sweetgum Street
The first man is described as being Pacific Islander in appearance with an average build and was wearing a black hooded jumper, dark pants and a white hockey style mask.
The second man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, long blonde hair, of a slim build and was wearing a red t-shirt.
Police investigations are continuing.
