Regional Investigations Unit detectives are seeking information in relation to an armed robbery at the BP service station located on the corner of West Coast Highway and Scarborough Beach Rd Scarborough on Thursday 24 November 2011.

At around 1:40am, a man armed with a hammer entered the service station store and demanded the staff member give him money from the cash register.

Fearing for his safety, the console operator gave the man a quantity of cash, who then fled on a motorbike, heading east on Scarborough Beach Road.

The offender is described as approximately 165cm tall and of medium build. He was wearing dark clothing, dark sunglasses, a sports helmet and carrying a backpack.
