22 January 2012 – Attempted ATM Robbery – Service Station – Carrum Downs

Police are investigating an attempted robbery in Carrum Downs early this morning.
It is believed that a tip truck containing up to three male offenders crashed in to the front window of a service station on Frankston-Dandenong Road just before 4am.
Police have been told the men allegedly failed attempts to tie a snatch strap on to an ATM, before leaving the scene in the truck.
The vehicle was found set alight on Austin Road in Seaford shortly afterwards.
A utility with a canopy was then seen leaving the area.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
