Police are investigating the armed robbery of a business that occurred in Gladstone overnight.

Just before 10pm, two men have entered the French Street service station.

They have produced baseball bats and demanded money and cigarettes, and the store attendant has complied.

The two men have then left the premises with a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The first man is described as being 175cm tall with heavy build and was wearing black clothing.

The second man is described as being 165cm with slim build and was wearing black clothing.

Police investigations are continuing.
