Police are investigating an armed robbery at a pharmacy in Belmont earlier this month.

Investigators have been told two male offenders, wearing cloth type masks over their faces, entered the High Street shop about 8.45pm on Friday 2 March.

One of the men, armed with a knife, demanded staff hand over prescription drugs from a safe.

The other thief demanded cash from another staff member.

Staff complied and the thieves fled the store with cash and prescription drugs.

Police believe the offenders were last seen heading north near the rear car park.

No one was injured during the incident.

One offender has been described as solid build and 170cm tall. He was wearing a black hooded top, with the word “zero” written across the front.

The other offender has been described as thin build and 178cm tall.

Police have released the below image of two men they believe can assist with their enquiries.
