Police have charged a 22-year-old Marsden man following investigations into an armed robbery and an attempted armed robbery in the Logan District over the past month.
It will be alleged on March 23 a man threatened an employee with a knife at a Marsden service station on Browns Plains Road before fleeing with a sum of cash.
It will further be alleged on Tuesday night a man attempted to rob a grocery store on Wembley Road at Browns Plains.
He allegedly threatened a female attendant with a screwdriver and demanded money before leaving the store empty handed.
The 22-year-old man voluntarily attended Browns Plains Police Station yesterday and was subsequently charged with one count each of armed robbery and attempted robbery.
He is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
