Police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store in New Farm last night.
Around 9.05pm, a man allegedly walked into the Merthyr Road store and approached the counter.
The man made demands for money, and when the store attendant refused, the man produced a weapon believed to be a pair of scissors.
The store attendant has then opened the cash register and the man has taken a sum of money before leaving the store on foot.
The attendant was not physically injured during the incident.
Police investigations into the incident are continuing.
