Police are investigating the armed robbery of a bottle shop at Thornlands this evening.
Around 6.45pm, a man entered the store, situated in a shopping complex on Island Outlook Avenue, before threatening two female employees with a firearm.
He made demands for the staff to hand over money from the till before obtaining a sum of cash and fleeing the scene on foot.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Police investigations are continuing.
