Police are investigating the armed robbery of a betting agency in Sydney’s southwest this afternoon.
About 2pm (Monday 25 June), two men entered the agency on Thomas Rose Drive in Rosemeadow armed with a shotgun.
The pair was wearing dark coloured hooded jumpers and they threatened staff demanding cash.
They stole cash and drove from the scene in a stolen car. Nobody was injured.
The car was later found abandoned on nearby Julius Road.
Police from Campbelltown Local Area Command saturated the area and established a perimeter in the area where the car had been found.
Residents told officers they saw the two males scaling several backyard fences in their bid to get away.
Police searched the area and found the weapon and several items of clothing. They will all be sent for forensic examination.
At this stage the two men have not been located and anyone who knows their identity should contact police.
