Police are investigating the armed robbery of a post office at Slacks Creek this afternoon.
Around 1.30pm, two men entered the Kingston Road outlet and threatened an attendant with a screw driver.
They demanded money before one man jumped over the counter and removed cash from the till.
The other offender became involved in an altercation with a member of the public causing a t-shirt covering the offender’s face to fall off.
The pair fled the scene with a sum of cash and were last seen driving away in a dark blue or black Holden Commodore sedan.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
One man is described as being Pacific Islander in appearance, approximately 175cm tall with a muscular build and black short hair. He was wearing a black cap with a black jumper, cargo pants and white runners.
The other man is described as being Pacific Islander in appearance, approximately 180cm tall with a muscular build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, grey tracksuit pants, white runners and red gloves.
Investigations are continuing.
