Police are currently investigating the robbery of a liquor store in Woodridge last night.
Shorty before 8pm, a man entered the Smith Road store and attempted to steal two cartons of alcohol.
The store attendant tried to stop the man, however he punched the attendant in the chest before fleeing the store in a car.
The attendant was treated at the scene for bruising to his ribs.
The man is described as around 170-175cm tall, of a stocky build with short black hair. He was wearing a black beanie, a dark long sleeved jumper and tracksuit pants.
Investigations are continuing.
